Combined wooden
combs
The brown peachwood is very hard and won't split of any grains which
could cause
torn out hair by combing. Further more it is very resistan to water,
which won't affect the woods quality easily. So peachwood combs stand
for a much smoother
combing compared with most common wooden combs and can be used very
well for wet hair after washing. For keeping a smooth wood survace, you
should use some vegetable oil on a cotton and polish the comb after it
has become dry.
Chinese boxwood is outstanding for its bright colour and makes combs
with high
stability. They have an
extraordinary smooth surface and comb hair even smoother then good horn
combs do and no comparison to common wooden combs.
Contact with water will result only in a small decline of smoothness
but likely cause a light deforming of shape.
The combined wood combs tightly
fixed together can resist bending much better than
combs just made of one single part of wood. Additionally the curved
form of the fixed parts make
these wooden combs much more stable than normaly glued ones.
